The nature of truth....

Truth is its own rai·son d'ê·tre.....

Cause and effect......

It does not rest

The correspondence theory is often traced back to

Aristotle's  definition of truth.

(Metaphysics 1011b25):

“To say of what is that it is not, or of

Since truth is objective, our knowledge of 

true propositions must be about real things. 

According to Plato, these real things are Forms. 

Their nature is such that the only mode by which 

we can know them is rationality.
