Quote of the day........

There never did, there never will, and

there never can exist a parliament, or

in any country,..........

possessed of the right or the power of

binding and controlling posterity

to the `end of time,’ or of commanding

for ever how the world shall be governed, or

who shall govern it. ...

Every age and generation must be

as free to act for itself, in all cases,

as the ages and generations.....

which preceded it.

-- Thomas Paine(1737-1809)

US Founding father, pamphleteer, author

Quote of the day....

If language is not correct,

then what is said is not what is meant;

If what is said is not what is meant,

then what must be done remains undone;

If this remains undone,

morals and art will deteriorate;

If justice goes astray,

the people will stand about in

helpless confusion.

Hence there must be

no arbitrariness in what is said.

This matters above everything.

In memory of Stephen Hawking.....

Remember to look up at the stars and

not down at your feet.

Try to make sense of what you see and

about what makes the universe exist.

Be curious.

And however difficult life may seem,

there is always something you can do,

and succeed at.

It matters that you don’t just give up.

Quote of the day.....

I see that there are many young people here;

as an old man, a little advice...

Life can set us a lot of snares, a lot of bumps,

we can fail a thousand times, in life, in love,

in the social struggle, but if we search for it

we'll have the strength to get up again and start over.

The most beautiful thing about the day is that it dawns.

There is always a dawn after the night has passed.

Don't forget it, kids.

It is maintained that a society is free only

when dissenting minorities have room to

As a matter of fact, a dissenting minority feels

How are we doing.....?

Most of us never ask of a dog or pig or

Then one is most probably doing it so

Quote of the day.....

Especially in false moralistic societies,

where religious bigotry is on the helm,

which is world over,

the moral sanctimony is so cruel,

it instead breeds evil,

which says who is next than humanity or compassion

which is embedded in forgiving and

while there are no apparent sanctions

for one's short coming,

a person will have room to muster enough courage and

call up on humility ,

which in turn paves a path for virtue to admitting to

ones folly and short coming ,

since there is no judgement and consequently

one does not have fear about being shamed or

face abuse from others

but a possibility to become a better human

on one's own accord.

When a society in its wisdom fails...

individual turn away inwardly fearing

their own inadequacies known to the world

that would invite abuse and judgement.

So people by and large wear masks of false niceties,

while fearing for their lives ,

conspiring against their own kind,

with out any real faith what so ever,

with a religious affiliation or with out.

__ Brian Williams.

Quote of the day......

"Screaming at each other has never caused change,"

Sure, sometimes major protests and rioting

in the streets causes change,

but when it's people one-on-one?

Having a screaming competition in that setting

never changes minds.

So we need to try and understand each other.

Raise of the machine........

Bakunin has sometimes been called

the first theorist of the "new class", meaning

that a 'class' of intellectuals and bureaucrats

running the state in the name of the people or

the proletariat –

but in reality in their own interests alone.

Bakunin argued that the "State has always been

the patrimony of  some privileged class:

a priestly class, an aristocratic class, a bourgeois class.

And finally, when all the other classes have

exhausted themselves, ....

the State then becomes the patrimony of

the bureaucratic class and then falls—or

if you will, rises—to the position of a machine.

The study of history is a powerful antidote

to contemporary arrogance.

It is humbling to discover how many of

Real world........

The real world is a place where it's hard sometimes

to find people who will listen with an attitude

that they might actually be convinced of something,

Instead, what happens in most of the real world is

that people don't listen at all.

They aren't looking to actually learn anything

about you or about what you think.

It's a place where people take sides

rather than trying to understand -

are they still on the right side?

They care mostly about their side winning.
